This past Saturday, I got sat with a party of six. It was everybody's first time to eat with us. I'm starting to explain the first time guest story when all of a sudden a hughe roach starts crawling across the table. Three of the ladies jumped out of their seats and screamed "bug!" My manager starts to walk by and I tell him that there was a bug at the table. He then pulls me to the kitchen and starts to yell at me because he said that I said the word bug to loud. He said it wasn't that big of a deal. Im thinking, "ok, one, it is their first time to eat with us and they had a bug crawl across their table, and two, three of the ladies jumped out of their seats screaming bug. I'm pretty sure that everyone around them already knew about it." Then, he tells them that he will give them an appetizer for free. So they get the most expensive one. He then, gets mad because they got the most expensive one. What an asshole.
I was working on a Saturday night. It was really busy and I had to go to the bathroom. Now, let me first explain about being a server. When your a server and you are working on a busy night, you are constantly running with no break. So, if you need to go to the bathroom and you are busy, well you are pretty much screwed. So, I was working and it had been about three hours since I first realized I needed a bathroom break. By the time I was finally able to go, I was at the point where I almost couldn't hold it any longer. So, I get to the bathroom and there is a line. Finally, I am next in line. A stall opens up and this lady cuts in front of me, stops, and then turns around and looks at me. Then she says," Sorry, employees should have their own bathrooms. You have a problem with it, tell your manager to build ya'll your own." Let me tell you, I have a very short temper and it took all I had in me to not knock that lady out. I wish everybody would watch the movie Waiting before they go to a restaurant. Because then, they might think twice about being an asshole to servers. Just saying.
